The UK has a unique and internationally renowned collection of cohort studies spanning over 65 years. Each study forms a building block for later investigations, with the value of each study increasing through each wave of data collected on the participants. Cohorts are therefore a dynamic source of knowledge enabling future generations to profit from the experiences of their parents and grandparents and help identify different generational economic, societal and economic factors which affect our growth, development and lifestyle. This is an investment with a ongoing return for all of us.
